About the Role The Civil Engineering Technician position supports the delivery of civil engineering and construction projects through technical, operational, and site-based activities. The role involves assisting with site inspections, interpreting engineering drawings, monitoring construction activities, preparing technical documentation, and supporting engineers to ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications and operational requirements. Location: Pakenham VIC 3810 Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $80,000 to $84,000 Superannuation Key Responsibilities Assist with the coordination and delivery of civil engineering and construction projects Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements Assist engineers with measurements, technical calculations, and site-based activities Prepare project records, technical reports, and operational documentation as required Support material coordination, scheduling activities, and project workflow monitoring Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and site personnel regarding operational requirements Monitor construction quality and identify technical issues requiring attention Assist with surveying, site measurements, and set-out activities where required Follow workplace health and safety procedures across all project and site activities Skills & Experience Relevant qualification such as a Diploma or an Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent Minimum 3 years of full-time relevant work experience in a similar role Understanding of civil construction processes, engineering documentation, and site operations Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively within construction and engineering project environments Good communication and coordination skills How to Apply Please submit your resume outlining your relevant experience and suitability for the position.
