We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Manager to oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and administration of our transport fleet. This is an exciting full-time opportunity for a transport professional who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and is committed to ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective fleet operations. As our Fleet Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of company vehicles and transport assets, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high service standards while supporting the ongoing growth of the business. Responsibilities 1.Organise and oversee the acquisition, leasing, replacement, and disposal of vehicles, including sourcing suitable vehicles, negotiating purchase or lease agreements, and coordinating vehicle sales or end-of-life asset management. 2.Monitor vehicle performance, operating expenses, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and usage patterns to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and support cost-effective fleet operations. 3.Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to vehicle purchases, leases, registrations, servicing, repairs, compliance requirements, and asset transactions. 4.Liaise with clients, suppliers, rental agencies, leasing providers, and other stakeholders to assess vehicle requirements, provide advice on suitable vehicle options, explain hire or leasing obligations and rates, and address operational issues or complaints. 5.Perform market research and evaluate industry trends, vehicle technologies, supplier offerings, and pricing structures to support informed purchasing, leasing, and fleet management decisions. 6.Coordinate the purchase and ongoing management of transport vehicles, equipment, fuel resources, and related operational assets to ensure the fleet meets organisational and client requirements. 7.Arrange and oversee the collection, delivery, allocation, and deployment of vehicles and associated transport resources to support operational schedules and customer requirements. 8.Ensure compliance with relevant transport legislation, vehicle standards, driver licensing requirements, workplace health and safety obligations, and organisational policies governing fleet operations. 9.Managing and maintain a fleet of vehicles by ensuring all vehicles are routinely serviced, regularly inspected, maintained in a roadworthy condition, registered, insured, and available for operational requirements while controlling fleet-related costs and maximising utilisation. 10.Provide guidance and recommendations regarding vehicle selection, acquisition strategies, fleet composition, and lifecycle management to support the operational needs of businesses, rental agencies, logistics providers, public transport operators, construction companies, government organisations, and corporate fleets. What We’re Looking For 1.Diploma or higher qualification in Management, Business, or a related field. 2.At least one year of relevant experience in fleet management, or a related role. 3.Strong understanding of fleet administration, vehicle maintenance programs, and transport compliance requirements. 4.Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 5.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. 6.Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
