SENIOR BROADACARE CROP AND LIVESTOCK FARM WORKER Location: Farm sites (Culburra 5261 and Colebatch 5266) Tenure: Full-time, Permanent Comprehensive salary package from $68,864 pa (plus superannuation) Required Skills and Experience: • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or at least three years of experience; or • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV or at least three years of relevant experience. Position Summary: On behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Broadacre Crop and Livestock Farm Worker who can oversee and coordinate daily farming operations across broadacre cropping and livestock production activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising farm workers, operating and maintaining farm machinery and infrastructure, implementing livestock feeding and health programs, and ensuring efficient and sustainable farm production practices. The role requires strong practical farming knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to support modern agricultural technologies while maintaining workplace health, safety, and biosecurity standards. Duties and responsibilities: • carrying out tests and experiments, and providing technical support to Health Professionals, Natural and Physical Science Professionals and Engineering Professionals • providing technical support to users of computer hardware and software • fabricating, repairing and maintaining metal, wood, glass and textile products • repairing and maintaining motor vehicles, aircraft, marine craft and electrical and electronic machines and equipment • constructing, repairing, fitting-out and finishing buildings and other structures • operating printing and binding equipment • preparing and cooking food • shearing, caring for, training and grooming animals, and assisting Veterinarians • propagating and cultivating plants, and establishing and maintaining turf surfaces for sporting events • cutting and styling hair • operating chemical, gas, petroleum and power generation equipment • providing technical assistance for the production, recording and broadcasting of artistic performances Main tasks: • Oversees the planting, cultivation and harvesting of broadacre crops, as well as livestock breeding programs and the rearing of young livestock • Identifies health and nutrition problems in livestock, and manages and supervises stock feeding and watering programs • Supervises and undertakes the operation and maintenance of broadacre crop and livestock farming equipment and machinery • Implements biosecurity measures • Oversees the inspection and maintenance of broadacre crop and livestock farm infrastructure, including fencing, and water supply and irrigation systems • Supervises, maintains and operates data collection and analysis and production technology systems, such as GPS, GIS, variable-rate technology, soil sensors and yield monitors • Supervises work routines and trains Broadacre Crop and Livestock Farm Workers Qualified applicants may apply online.
