Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role: This is a casual position offering a range of shifts at Broadmeadows Hospital, with additional opportunities to cover periods of annual leave.  This role requires the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based orthoptic care within the Ophthalmology Department. The Grade 1 Orthoptist will apply competent clinical skills in patient assessment, care planning, treatment implementation, and ongoing management across a diverse patient population.  This role is responsible for providing safe and effective clinical care, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and contributing as an active member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The position also involves participation in the Northern Health Supervision Model and engagement in ongoing professional development activities.  Flexibility is required, as the role may involve working across multiple Northern Health sites and programs, including occasional after-hours, weekends, public holidays, and work-from-home arrangements in line with service needs.  To be successful in this role you will have: Experience and good working knowledge of orthoptic assessment and management within an ophthalmology setting Proven ability to deliver evidence-based clinical care and manage a varied caseload Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement Ability to meet mandatory training and competency requirements in line with Northern Health policy  Next Steps ⦠If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
