Overview : Subi Sports Massage & Physio is one of WA’s leading soft tissue clinics. We provide Remedial massage, Physiotherapy & Pilates services to people ranging from the general public to elite athletes. We are looking for a Remedial Massage Therapist to join our team! In this role, your focus will be on developing a range of massage therapy techniques. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Subiaco WA. Main tasks : -Discussing and ascertaining relevant information from clients concerning their symptoms, medical history, and desired results. -Evaluating clients physical complains and located painful and/or tense areas of the body (for treatment). -Assessing and determining the best massage therapy approached (including the type of massage, number of sessions required and the methods to be employed. -Manipulating muscles or other soft tissues of the body. -Assessing clients overall physical condition and case history. -Massaging the soft tissues of the body (including muscles, tendons and ligaments) to assist healing and/or injury prevention. -Providing clients with guidance on stretching, muscle strengthening, overall muscle relaxation and how to improve body posture. -Utilising a range of massage therapy techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury. -Performing other adjunctive therapies or treatment techniques in addition to massage. -Preparing detailed notes after every session on what conditions were treated and how. -Administering treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension. -Preparation of relevant reports when requested from other health providers. Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience : -Possess a Diploma level qualification in Remedial Massage plus 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years. -Possess or able to obtain a Health Fund Provider number and any registrations/licences required by the job (to be advised by management upon commencement of employment). -Possess or able to obtain any required industry or association registration, including a valid membership with AAMT (or other Remedial Massage or Myotherapy industry associations). -Working with children’s check (desirable). Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge : -Have sound communication and teamwork skills -Have a strong work ethic and be willing and eager to learn. Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
