THE OPPORTUNITY ICON has been delivering offshore projects for nearly 30 years and rarely had to shout about it. The work spoke for itself. Now the business is growing, the pipeline is strong, and there's a genuine appetite to tell the story properly, through LinkedIn, campaigns, project content, and brand. This role is how that happens. ABOUT ICON ENGINEERING ICON Engineering has been delivering offshore oil and gas projects across Australia and internationally since 1997. We're a privately owned engineering consultancy with a reputation built on practical delivery (brownfields modifications, subsea engineering, P&A campaigns, and offshore construction) across WA, Southeast Asia, and beyond. The people here have real project histories and the work reflects it. THE ROLE Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, you'll be ICON's in-house marketing and content person, responsible for building brand presence, telling project and people stories, and supporting business development and recruitment activity across all channels. The raw material is genuinely interesting: offshore installations, complex modifications, subsea scopes, and the people who deliver them. The job is knowing how to shape that into content that non-engineers actually want to read. Day to day that means managing ICON's digital presence, developing content for the website and campaigns, producing case studies and capability materials, and supporting the executive team with personal brand content. AI tools are central to how this role operates, not as a shortcut, but as a genuine workflow capability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with campaign planning and content execution to support business development and lead generation. Own and manage ICON's digital presence: company updates, leadership posts, project highlights, recruitment content, and thought leadership. Develop content for the ICON website, email campaigns, newsletters, and external marketing activity. Create case studies and project stories that showcase ICON's expertise, capability, people, and client outcomes. Support executive and personal branding for ICON's leadership team. Support employer branding and recruitment marketing to help attract high-quality technical talent. Use AI tools to support drafting, editing, content planning, and digital improvement. Track content performance across channels and contribute ideas to improve engagement, reach, and brand impact. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Essential: Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and drawing stories out of technically-minded people. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, able to turn technical or commercial subject matter into engaging content. Demonstrated experience creating and managing content for LinkedIn and other digital channels. Practical, hands-on use of AI tools and Adobe Creative Suite in a content or marketing workflow. Experience supporting company branding, employer branding, or B2B marketing, even in a support or assistant capacity. 2-4 years' experience in marketing, content creation, communications, or a related role, with work you can show. Desirable: Background in or exposure to engineering, oil and gas, professional services, or B2B technical environments. Familiarity with SEO/SEM principles and digital campaign performance tracking. Experience planning or executing paid advertising campaigns on LinkedIn or Meta, even at a modest budget scale. Videography or video editing skills for content tailored to ICON social and digital channels. Experience with CRM systems, content calendars, or structured marketing workflows. Understanding of prompt engineering or AI-enabled content automation. WHY ICON ICON's project pipeline is strong and getting stronger, and the business is at a point where our story needs to be told properly, not reactively. Reporting directly to the CGO means real access to decision-makers and the strategic context to do the work well, not just execute briefs handed down from above. You'll have genuine access to project content, senior leaders, and a management team that understands the value of doing this well. And you'll be building something rather than maintaining something someone else built. TO APPLY OR FIND OUT MORE Contact Brendan Fernandez, iconeng.com.au OR 61 407 181 .
