An established transport and logistics operation with a significant footprint across Papua New Guinea is seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to oversee daily fleet operations and coordinate large-scale freight movements across multiple regions. This is a hands-on operational leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced transport environments and understands the realities of heavy vehicle logistics, fleet coordination and operational problem solving. You will play a critical role in ensuring trucks remain operational, freight is delivered safely and efficiently, and communication between drivers, workshop teams and operational stakeholders remains seamless. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating daily fleet movements, driver allocations and freight schedules Managing operational priorities across multiple depots and regions Responding to breakdowns, delays and changing customer requirements in real time Working closely with workshop teams to maximise fleet availability Supporting operational discipline, safety compliance and customer service outcomes Maintaining strong communication across drivers, operations personnel and management To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess: Strong experience within transport operations, logistics coordination or fleet control Practical understanding of heavy vehicle transport operations Proven ability to manage operational pressures and changing priorities Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills Experience within linehaul, freight or logistics environments A proactive and hands-on operational management style This opportunity offers the chance to take ownership of a large transport operation within a challenging and rewarding environment while working alongside an experienced leadership team.
