Since 1977, they have delivered crisis and transitional accommodation, outreach support, early intervention and prevention programs, alongside integrated case management to help clients access safe housing and wraparound supports. About the opportunity This role will be integral to the multidisciplinary Specialist Children and Young Person (SCYP) program for Jenny’s Place clients. As a part of the SWCYP Program, the occupational therapist provides assessment and therapeutic support for women, children and young people with various sensory, motor, perceptual, or learning challenges. Key responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and abilities of women and children. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to enhance daily functioning and emotional well-being. Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive devices. Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and outcomes. Advocate for necessary resources and accommodations to meet client needs. About you As the Occupational Therapist at Jenny’s Place you will bring skills and experience in the following areas: Relevant tertiary qualifications and current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, AHPRA. Experience in working with children, families and community who have experienced domestic violence is highly desirable. Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and commitment to evidence based practice. Demonstrated experience in providing paediatric Occupational Therapy services. Knowledge of, and ability to use multidisciplinary teamwork, and to collaborate with other services/organisations relevant to case management and service delivery. You must also have a current driver’s license, Working with Children Check and National Police Check. This position is designated for a female under Section 31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act.
