The Medical Imaging Department at Mackay Base Hospital have opportunity for a Clinical Director to join their team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. Your opportunity To provide high quality clinical services to the medical imaging department and to educate medical staff and students, allied health professionals, interested community groups and nursing staff. To participate in patient safety, audit, research, and service planning. About the Team The Medical Imaging Department delivers a range of services including General Radiography, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Intervention, Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Theatre. The service includes remote rural reporting for MHHS rural sites, including CT services at Proserpine, Bowen and Moranbah. The Medical Imaging team is a large department staffed with approximately 80 FTE including Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers, Nursing and Administration staff. The Clinical Director is key member of the Medical Imaging Leadership team comprising of the Clinical Director Radiology (this role), Chief Radiographer and Service Manager (operations), and is supported by the Chief Medical Officer (professionally) and Executive Director Allied Health and Clinical Support Services (operationally). The Clinical Director responsible for safe and effective radiology care across the distract and has the line management responsibility for 4 FTE consultants and 5 FTE junior staff inclusive of Registrars and House Officers. The MBH Medical Imaging is a RANZCR accredited training site, with rotating trainee registrars through Queensland Radiology training Network.
