Machine Operator/Loader – Reinforcing Steel Location: Gepps Cross, SA | Employment Type: Full-time | Start Date: Immediate About Us: Bianco Reinforcing is a leading reinforcing steel processing company based in Adelaide, South Australia. With a strong commitment to quality and safety, we supply essential steel products for construction projects across the region. About the Role: Your primary focus will be loading and unloading trucks and managing the movement of reinforcing steel throughout our yard. You'll also operate overhead cranes and forklifts as part of your daily duties, supporting efficient yard operations from start to finish. At times you may be required to assist with machine operation. Key Responsibilities: • Loading & Unloading (main priority) — Accurately and safely loading outgoing delivery trucks and unloading incoming raw materials and finished goods • Overhead Crane Operation — Safely operating overhead cranes to lift, move, and position reinforcing steel bundles and bar • Forklift Operation — Operating forklifts for the movement of smaller steel products, accessories, and general yard tasks • Bundling & Dispatch Preparation — Strapping and securing steel bundles for safe transport, reading delivery dockets and pick lists accurately • Inventory & Yard Upkeep — Assisting with stock organisation, conducting quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment • Safety & Teamwork — Adhering to all safety policies, wearing appropriate PPE, participating in briefings, and working collaboratively to meet daily production and dispatch targets Skills & Experience: • Current forklift licence (LF class) — required • Experience in steel processing, manufacturing, or heavy industry (highly regarded) • Sound knowledge of safe lifting and loading practices • Ability to read delivery dockets and pick lists accurately • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team • Safety-first mindset — non-negotiable What We Offer: • Competitive remuneration based on experience • Overtime opportunities • Regular performance reviews to recognise your contribution and growth • A paid day off to celebrate your birthday • Ongoing training and development opportunities • Supportive, safety-focused work environment • Secure role with a reputable, well-established South Australian company • Convenient Adelaide location How to Apply: If you're ready to join a hardworking team at one of SA's leading steel reinforcing producers, we'd love to hear from you.
