About the Role We are seeking passionate, flexible and reliable Casual Educators to support our team at Geelong. This role is ideal for educators who enjoy working across different age groups, building strong relationships with children and families, and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. As a Casual Educator, you will support the day-to-day operation of the service by maintaining high quality care and education practices, assisting with routines, and helping create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children. Key Responsibilities Relationships & Interactions Build warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children, families and colleagues Support children’s emotional wellbeing, independence and sense of belonging Communicate professionally and positively with families and team members Work collaboratively with all educators and leadership staff Education & Care Support the implementation of educational programs and daily routines Assist in maintaining engaging, inclusive and safe learning environments Follow children’s individual routines, needs and interests Contribute to a positive and calm atmosphere throughout the service Health, Safety & Compliance Maintain active supervision of children at all times Follow all policies, procedures and child safe practices Support safe food handling, hygiene and cleaning practices Assist in maintaining compliance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Quality Framework Report any hazards, incidents or concerns to leadership promptly Team Contribution Be flexible and willing to support across different rooms when required Contribute positively to the culture and professionalism of the centre Demonstrate reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn Attend team meetings or training sessions where required Essential Requirements Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (completed, studying or ACECQA approved equivalent) Current Working with Children Check Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain) Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards Excellent communication and teamwork skills Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work Desirable Previous experience in Long Day Care Understanding or interest in Montessori philosophy and practices What We Offer Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Flexible casual shifts across the week Opportunity to work within a values-driven organisation focused on children, families and community Child Safety & Equal Opportunity Statement Montessori Beginnings is committed to being a Child Safe Organisation.
