This role is responsible for ensuring compliance within the casino and gambling sector through inspections, enforcement, and investigative activities. You will apply legislation, exercise sound judgement, and engage with stakeholders to uphold regulatory standards while contributing to a professional and safety-focused workplace. Key responsibilities include: Conducting inspections to assess compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements. Providing guidance to licensees to support compliance. Undertaking enforcement actions to address breaches. Preparing clear and timely reports on compliance activities. Supporting investigations through evidence collection and interviews. Participating in operations and court matters where required. Maintaining accurate records and evidence in line with requirements. Engaging professionally with stakeholders and contributing to a positive team environment. About you You can work independently, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement in a regulatory environment. You communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally, and can engage with a range of stakeholders. Experience in the gambling or casino industry, or strong industry knowledge Ability to interpret and apply legislation and procedures Experience handling and managing evidence in line with requirements Understanding of court processes and principles of natural justice Ability to prepare clear reports, statements and briefs While experience is highly valued, we are also committed to supporting the right candidate to grow and develop within this role.
