About the Role Bring your professional knowledge to the classroom by understanding how students learn and adapting your teaching to support a range of needs and abilities. Use your subject knowledge and effective teaching strategies to deliver engaging and accessible English and Humanities lessons. Plan and deliver thoughtful learning programs that align with curriculum expectations and encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and deeper understanding. Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment where students feel known, respected, and motivated to do their best. Assess student learning, provide meaningful feedback, and report on progress in ways that support each student’s growth and development. Work closely with colleagues, parents/carers, and the wider school community to support student learning, wellbeing, and success. Contribute positively to professional and community networks, sharing ideas and helping foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. About You Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant discipline (English-Humanities). Current teaching registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. Classroom management skills and the ability to communicate clearly, positively, and professionally. Current First Aid and CPR certificate. Fortnightly salary of $3,548 for a 1st year teacher and $5,028 for a teacher with 8 years teaching experience.
