About the role As a Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day oversight and coordination of the Youth Support Program, delivering effective case management oversight and direct casework support to young people aged 8 to 21 years. You will assist with referral management, case planning, and ongoing case management to ensure young people receive appropriate and timely support services. You will ensure your team will assist young people to connect with families, education, employment, and community supports, while supporting them to live healthy, violence-free lives and access safe and stable housing. As part of the Youth Services Stream, you will lead by example and foster a collaborative team culture through effective supervision, mentoring, and staff support. You will coordinate rosters, operate within budget requirements, uphold child safe and quality practice standards, and maintain productive referral pathways and community networks to support positive outcomes for young people. To be successful you will need Tertiary qualifications in Community Services / Social Sciences or related discipline. A Diploma or Certificate level qualification may be considered if this combines with at least five (5) years relevant experience. Substantial case management experience with young people/young adults from diverse cultural backgrounds dealing with disconnection from family, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues, disrupted education and or unemployment etc. Prior staff supervision, service coordination and rostering experience combines with developed knowledge of service system and referrals pathways; child safe practices and service standards Knowledge of youth homelessness and models that support young people and young adults develop independent living, relational and tenancy skills and to re-engage with family (if a safe option), education, training and job pathways. Track record of strong Teamwork, risk management, responding effectively to crisis situations and incident reporting. Experience working with First Nations people, families, Organisations and communities. Proven aptitude for administration, data analysis and reporting on client outcomes and service impact.
