Smalltime Enterprises Pty Ltd, located in Airlie Beach QLD 4802 is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef to join their team. Key Responsibilities: • Planning and preparing a variety of dishes in accordance with menu and customer requirements • Preparing, seasoning and cooking food while ensuring consistency in quality and presentation • Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation • Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on cooking procedures where required • Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities and ensuring proper stock rotation • Assisting with estimating food and labour costs and minimising food wastage • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations • Inspecting food supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure standards are maintained • Assisting with ordering and monitoring stock levels of food supplies and kitchen materials About you: • At least 1 year of relevant experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations • Understanding of food safety standards, hygiene practices and workplace health and safety procedures • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment • Good organisational and time management skills • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Job Type: Permanent/Full-time Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per annum.
