About the opportunity TRACKS is recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded civil construction organisation delivering essential infrastructure services across the Scenic Rim region of Queensland. We are looking for an experienced Civil Leading Hand with a solid understanding of road construction to provide on-the-ground leadership across civil construction activities. You will play a key role in ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This is a contract position based out of the Stapylton office, with the main work location in the Scenic Rim LGA. A company vehicle will be provided for travel between sites. What you'll be doing Running daily pre-starts and supervising up to 3 internal workers and up to 10 subcontractors on site Managing safety, quality, and productivity across all civil construction activities Confirming volumes, hours, and daily outputs to ensure project targets are met Coordinating site-specific quality assurance Participating in weekly and three-week planning activities to keep works on track Acting as the key point of contact between the site team and senior leaders including the supervisor, site engineer, and superintendent What you'll bring Proven experience in civil construction, with a sound understanding of road construction techniques Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate crews on site Competency in app-based site management software; experience with Dashpivot, SiteMate or AssetVision is highly desirable Ability to interpret and work from construction drawings with confidence A solutions-focused attitude with a commitment to safety, quality and 100% reliability Valid driver's licence and current White Card Cert III or IV in Civil Construction or Road Construction Nice to have (not essential) Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) accreditation Experience working on TMR projects Background in stabilisation works Why this role?
