About the role We are a well-established surgical practice (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) in South Australia seeking a skilled and personable Receptionist/Surgical/Dental Assistant to join our professional and patient-focused surgical team in Beulah Park, South Australia. This casual/permanent part time or full time role will see you playing a vital part in the smooth running of our surgical practice, providing exceptional customer service and assisting our healthcare professionals with various administrative and clinical/surgical duties. The appointment involves front-desk administrative duties with clinical assisting in a specialist surgical environment. Position Overview The successful applicant will need to be professional, vibrant, reliable and able to support the efficient running of the day-today operation of the clinic whilst maintaining high standards of patient care, confidentiality and infection control. Job Description Handling patient enquiries and bookings, both in person and over the phone Preparing examination and surgical rooms and ensuring they are fully stocked and sanitized Manage stock and supplies Preparation and turnover of the surgical rooms Assisting our surgeons with clinical/surgical tasks as required Instrument handling and adherence to sterilization protocols Adherence/compliance with infection control, WHS and practice policies Maintaining accurate patient records and updating electronic medical systems Providing general administrative support, such as filing, photocopying and data entry Promoting a positive and collaborative team environment What we're looking for Previous experience in a medical or dental administrative role, preferably within a surgical, dental or specialist practice Dental assisting experience is preferred for this position 1-2 years of medical or dental administrative experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of patients Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail Proficiency in using electronic oasis medical/dental record systems and standard office software Experience with any medical software systems acceptable, not limited to Oasis Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy surgical clinic Reliable individual who is highly professional with a polished presentation A caring, compassionate and discreet approach when handling sensitive patient information A commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and well-organized work environment Willingness to undertake training as required A current first aid certificate, current working with children check, and current police check is essential Australian citizenship is required for this position What we offer At Leading Face Surgery, we provide a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
