We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Hairdresser - Hair Extension Specialist to join our professional team in South Perth. About the Role This is a full-time position (38 hours per week) responsible for delivering a full range of hairdressing services, including cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised hair extension services in a professional salon environment. Key Responsibilities: Consulting with clients to determine hair care requirements, preferences, and desired outcomes Analysing hair and scalp condition and advising on suitable treatments and services Cutting, trimming, and shaping hair using scissors, razors, and clippers Colouring, bleaching, perming, straightening, and styling hair using a variety of techniques Shampooing, conditioning, and treating hair and scalp to maintain hair health Providing advice on hair care products, styling techniques, and ongoing maintenance Assessing client suitability for hair extensions, including hair type, density, and scalp condition Selecting and recommending appropriate extension methods, lengths, and colour matches Applying, adjusting, and removing hair extensions using methods such as tape-ins, keratin bonds, microbeads, and wefts Blending extensions with natural hair through precision cutting, layering, and texturising techniques Performing colour matching, toning, and blending services to ensure a natural finish between extensions and natural hair Maintaining extensions through repositioning, tightening, and safe removal techniques Educating clients on aftercare, maintenance routines, and product use to maximise longevity of extensions Maintaining clean and sanitised tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with WHS requirements Keeping up to date with current industry trends, techniques, and products Delivering high-quality customer service and building ongoing client relationships Supporting general salon operations and maintaining professional presentation standards Qualifications and Experience Required: Relevant Certificate III or higher or equivalent in Hairdressing or related field, together with at least two years of full-time relevant work experience;OR At least three years of full-time relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
