Key Responsibilities Client & Head Contract Management Review, negotiate, and administer head contracts with builders, developers, and clients Identify contractual, commercial, and operational risks prior to project commencement Negotiate contract terms, variations, extensions of time, and commercial outcomes Work closely with Directors and Project Managers during tender and contract award stages Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project deliverables Manage client correspondence relating to contractual and commercial matters Assist in dispute resolution and negotiation where required Commercial Management Monitor project budgets, forecasts, margins, and cost control Prepare and manage progress claims, variations, delay claims, and payment schedules Track project financial performance and identify commercial risks/opportunities Support profitability through strong commercial oversight Subcontractor & Supplier Agreements Prepare, review, and administer subcontract agreements and supplier purchase orders Coordinate procurement of subcontractors, plant, materials, and services Assess subcontractor scopes, pricing, and compliance documentation Manage subcontractor claims and payment processes Project Support & Administration Maintain project registers including RFIs, variations, notices, and correspondence Support Project Managers with project delivery and contractual administration Ensure all project documentation is accurate and maintained Assist with programme tracking and reporting requirements Compliance & Risk Management Ensure projects comply with contractual, legal, and company requirements Support WHS and environmental compliance documentation Maintain strong record keeping and document control processes Skills & Experience Essential Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Contract Administration within construction, demolition, civil, or related industries Strong experience negotiating contracts with builders and developers Excellent understanding of construction contracts, commercial risk, and project delivery Experience managing variations, claims, EOTs, and commercial negotiations Strong financial and commercial acumen Excellent communication and negotiation skills High-level organisational and problem-solving ability Desirable Experience within demolition, remediation, asbestos, or civil construction Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, or similar Experience with project management and construction software systems Personal Attributes The successful candidate will: Be commercially sharp and confident in negotiations Take ownership and accountability Thrive in fast-paced project environments Have strong attention to detail Be proactive and solutions-focused Build strong relationships with clients, builders, subcontractors, and internal teams Operate with professionalism and urgency What We Offer Competitive salary package based on experience Opportunity to play a key role in a growing business Diverse, high-profile demolition and civil projects Strong team culture with direct access to leadership Long-term career growth opportunities Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Successful negotiation of favourable contract terms Effective management of contractual risk Timely preparation and management of claims and variations Accuracy of project commercial reporting Maintenance of subcontractor and supplier agreements Contribution to project profitability and cash flow Positive client and stakeholder relationships
