The Role Austin Group is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of IT & Transformation to lead the organisation’s technology strategy and drive enterprise-wide digital innovation. Reporting to the COO, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing a technology roadmap that supports business growth, enhances customer experience and drives operational excellence. You will play a key role in embedding AI-enabled innovation, strengthening system integration and ensuring our technology landscape is secure, scalable and commercially effective. Other responsibilities will include but not limited to: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned to business growth, digital transformation and customer experience objectives Partner with the executive team to embed technology and AI-driven initiatives into broader business strategy Identify, evaluate and implement emerging technologies to drive competitive advantage Oversee enterprise systems to ensure performance, optimisation, scalability and seamless integration across platforms Lead system architecture decisions, including vendor selection, platform strategy and buy vs build approaches Manage technology vendors and external partners to ensure performance, value and alignment to business needs Provide end-to-end oversight of projects and transformation initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget Establish and maintain governance frameworks for project prioritisation, resource allocation and risk management Build, lead and develop a high-performing IT, systems and project delivery team Drive continuous improvement across IT operations, service delivery and support functions Ensure strong technology governance, data integrity, cyber security and compliance across the organisation Leverage data, automation and AI to improve decision-making, efficiency and customer outcomes You will have: Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field 10 years’ experience in IT, technology or transformation roles, including 5 years in senior leadership positions Proven experience leading digital transformation, system integration and enterprise technology initiatives Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align technology investments to business outcomes Experience implementing data-driven and AI-enabled solutions (highly regarded) Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams Strong vendor management, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes A strategic, innovative and results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement We provide: Competitive salary package Generous product allowance 50% discount across GAZMAN, Perri Cutten & Cable for yourself & immediate family A commitment to invest in ongoing professional training and development Free on-site parking in our Malvern office A tailored induction program to ensure you have the best introduction to the business The opportunity to build your career with a successful, established and trusted Australian company A friendly, motivating and rewarding team environment, where achievements are recognised Opportunities to attend social events, annual conferences and award nights
