18-Month Fixed Term Contract | SCHADS Level 5 Community Services & Engagement JewishCare is a leading social services organisation supporting the resilience, independence and wellbeing of individuals and families across the NSW community. We are seeking a Russian-speaking Caseworker with a tertiary qualification in Social Work to join our Community Services & Engagement team on an 18-month fixed term contract. About the role Working closely with individuals, families and seniors, you will provide strengths-based, trauma-informed casework support, assessing eligibility for practical and financial assistance and developing personalised care plans that promote dignity, autonomy and independence. You will manage a diverse caseload, assess risk, and connect clients with appropriate internal and external supports. Key responsibilities Provide comprehensive case management using a person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach Conduct comprehensive client assessments Develop, implement and review care plans aligned to client goals Assess and manage risk, including family violence, suicide ideation, self-harm and child protection Undertake financial assessments in line with organisational policies Maintain accurate and timely client documentation Build strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers Uphold professional, ethical and confidentiality standards at all times Essential criteria Tertiary qualification in Social Work or Community Welfare (eligible for registration) Fluent Russian language skills (spoken and written) Demonstrated experience in casework with individuals, families and seniors Understanding of knowledge of services and support available to seniors Strong understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice Experience assessing and managing complex risk issues Knowledge of Aged Care Act, mandatory reporting requirements and child protection legislation Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary team Compassionate and culturally sensitive approach to client care Experience across mental health, aged care, disability, or child & family services Desirable Understanding and sensitivity of Jewish Culture and Values Requirements Working With Children Check NDIS Worker Check Why join JewishCare?
