We are seeking an experienced and qualified Vegetation Management Technician to join a well-established landscaping and civil services team operating across South East Queensland. This is a permanent role focused on high-quality vegetation control and herbicide application across a range of civil, commercial, and environmental projects. About the role In this hands-on field-based position, you will be responsible for identifying and treating invasive weeds and unwanted vegetation across multiple project sites. Work is primarily based around the Gold Coast, with regular travel to Ipswich, southern Brisbane suburbs and occasional work further north up the coast depending on project requirements. You will be provided with a company vehicle and will work independently or as part of a small field crew depending on the job. Key responsibilities Identify weeds, invasive species, and native vegetation types Apply herbicides safely and effectively in accordance with regulations and site requirements Carry out vegetation control and maintenance across civil and landscaping projects Interpret site plans, treatment zones, and environmental requirements Maintain accurate records of chemical use and site treatments Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental safety standards Work across multiple sites and manage daily travel between locations What we’re looking for Proven experience in vegetation management, weed control, or chemical application Strong ability to identify common weeds and plant species (or willingness to extend knowledge) Current and valid chemical application certification Current driver’s license (essential) - manual preferred Construction White Card Strong understanding of safe herbicide handling and WHS practices Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple sites Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions What’s on offer Permanent full-time position Company vehicle provided (for work use) Competitive salary package, aligned with experience and qualifications Variety of work across multiple project types and locations Stable pipeline of ongoing civil and landscaping projects Opportunity to grow within a reputable and expanding organisation in the SE QLD region If you are interested in this position or would like to know more, please click "Apply Now" directly through the job ad.
