We are seeking an experienced Machine / Combo Operator to join a high-performing civil crew delivering smart roadside infrastructure, power reticulation, and utility clients across Queensland. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role where you’ll be operating a range of small plant and attachments while supporting trenching, conduit installation, pit installation general civil works across live and existing services. About the Role You’ll be working across a variety of civil electrical infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality teamwork. This is a local role, with crews meeting at the yard each morning (Yatala / Ormeau) before heading out to sites across the Gold Coast and southern suburbs of Brisbane. Key Responsibilities Operating small plant and combo equipment (Bobcat/excavator and attachments) driving truck Trenching, conduit installation and pit installation works Excavating safely around live and existing services Performing daily pre-start checks and basic machine maintenance Supporting labouring duties as required Working in line with SWMS, project requirements, and safety procedures Collaborating effectively within site crews Requirements White Card HR truck licence RII Excavator RII Bobcat (desirable) Proven experience operating small plant Experience working around live services Strong commitment to safety and compliance Physically fit and reliable Good communication and team-focused attitude Previous experience in civil, electrical, or road infrastructure projects This is an opportunity to join a stable, well-organised team with ongoing local work and a strong focus on safe delivery and quality outcomes.
