The opportunity This opportunity sits within a national Construction, Infrastructure & Projects team acting across the full project lifecycle for clients in both the private and public sectors. The practice works with a broad range of industry participants, including institutional investors, government and asset owners, as well as other key stakeholders across the construction sector. You will work closely with motivated and supportive partners at a time when the team continues to grow and develop nationally. The work is primarily disputes‑focused, with the opportunity to be involved in advisory matters as part of a genuinely varied construction practice. The work You will work across matters that span the entire project lifecycle, from negotiating and documenting projects and supporting clients through procurement and construction, through to dispute management and formal dispute resolution (including security of payment). Expect exposure to disputes relating to time, cost and quality, as well as broader risk and contract issues on significant construction and infrastructure projects. The team is involved in projects that quite literally come out of the ground or go into the ground, offering strong variety across both front‑end and back‑end work. About you At least 5 years’ PAE in construction law gained in a well‑regarded construction or projects practice. Experience in NSW courts and tribunals and in security of payment adjudications. Genuine passion for the construction sector and an interest in both disputes and broader project work. Strong drafting and communication skills, with a commercial and solutions‑focused approach. Enjoys a busy practice, a collaborative culture and working closely with junior lawyers and paralegals to mentor and develop them.
