Yungaburra Community OSHC We are seeking a friendly, caring and enthusiastic OSHC Educator to join our community-focused team, supporting our Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs. Based at Yungaburra State School and connected to Yungaburra Community Kindergarten , our service offers a welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and supported. We are a small, community-run service with a strong focus on relationships, child-led play, and creating a calm, engaging space where children genuinely enjoy their time outside of school hours. Working alongside the OSHC Coordinator and team, you will contribute to a program that encourages creativity, independence, wellbeing and connection. About the Role As an OSHC Educator, you will play an active role in the day-to-day running of the service and help create a positive, fun and nurturing environment for children aged 4–12 years. Key Responsibilities Provide safe, engaging and high-quality care during Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care Support the planning and delivery of child-led experiences based on children’s interests and ideas Actively supervise children to support safety, wellbeing and inclusion Build warm, respectful relationships with children, families, school staff and colleagues Support children’s social, emotional and physical development through play and meaningful experiences Assist with daily routines, transitions and general service operations Follow service policies and procedures and contribute to compliance with the National Quality Framework Contribute positively to team culture and reflective practice About You We are looking for someone who is confident working with school-aged children and can positively contribute to a small team environment. Experience working with children aged 4–12 years in OSHC, education or similar settings ( essential ) Formal qualifications are not a prerequisite for this position. Applicants who hold, or are working towards, qualifications relevant to working with children are encouraged to apply. For applicants applying as Qualified Educators, a minimum Certificate III qualification in an area relevant to working with children may be recognised. Study areas may include: - behavioural science - community services - creative arts - education - nursing - physiotherapy - occupational therapy - speech pathology - sports and recreation - human welfare studies.
