Job Ad Summary: Full-time Field Technician position available in St Marys, NSW 2760 Position Overview On behalf of VersaFit, an Australian-owned company specialising in the supply, relocation, refurbishment, customisation, servicing, and installation of commercial gym and fitness equipment, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Technician to join the team. The role requires specialised technical expertise in the servicing, diagnostics, refurbishment, calibration, and restoration of commercial-grade fitness and performance equipment incorporating mechanical, electrical, and resistance-based systems. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Conducting diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial gym and fitness equipment Inspecting, testing, and calibrating mechanical and electrical components to ensure safe and efficient operation Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of cardio and strength equipment Repairing and replacing faulty mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and resistance system components Refurbishing and restoring second-hand gym equipment, including reconditioning, part replacement, and performance testing Assisting with equipment customisation and modification works based on client requirements Maintaining technical service records, maintenance reports, and equipment history logs Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers regarding technical specifications and replacement parts Providing onsite technical support and post-installation servicing to commercial and private clients Conducting technical assessments of equipment prior to resale or refurbishment Ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety, and operational standards. Supporting in-house technical servicing, refurbishment, and performance testing operations within the company workshop and warehouse facilities. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant Trade qualification or at least 3 years of work experience. At least 1 year of wok experience in equipment servicing, mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, or technical repair work. Ability to interpret technical manuals and servicing procedures. Familiarity with commercial gym equipment, mechanical systems, motors, resistance systems, or similar equipment highly regarded. Confidence in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and testing equipment. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $77,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week. CODE: VIAN0010
