Discover more via our website. Your next career opportunity This role leads a dynamic outreach portfolio for the School of Mathematics and Statistics. You will design, deliver, coordinate and develop a targeted suite of programs, resources and events that promote mathematics and statistics and build meaningful, sustainable relationships between the School and primary and secondary school students and teachers, philanthropic and other external organisations, and the wider community. What you will deliver: Lead, coordinate and continuously improve the School’s mathematics and statistics outreach strategy, programmes, events and resources. Manage, mentor and support Outreach Officers and contributors, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing outreach team. Develop and deliver large-scale national and international initiatives for primary and secondary students, especially underrepresented demographic groups. Collaborate with academics and partners to create programmes showcasing research strengths and supporting teachers, schools and communities. Oversee administration, budgeting, communications, data and evaluation to ensure sustainable, well-governed and evidence-informed outreach activities. You may be a great fit if you: Hold a postgraduate qualification in mathematics, statistics or education, or bring equivalent relevant expertise and experience. Demonstrate a strong record in science communication and delivering engaging outreach sessions in varied formats and settings. Design and implement innovative learning experiences that explain complex mathematical and statistical ideas for diverse audiences. Lead and mentor teams to deliver concurrent projects, balancing competing priorities with strategic planning and sound judgement. Build and sustain productive relationships with schools, teachers, students, professional bodies, community partners and university stakeholders.
