About Bellagio Cafe Bellagio Cafe is a popular and well-established café located in the heart of Waverley, Sydney. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for: Planning menus in consultation with management Estimating food and labour costs and assisting with stock control Ordering food supplies and monitoring inventory levels Preparing and cooking high-quality café-style meals and specials Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Discussing food preparation and kitchen operations with Managers and kitchen staff Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising kitchen staff on food preparation procedures Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations Training and supervising kitchen staff where required Managing food preservation, storage, and stock rotation procedures Assisting in the development of seasonal menus and new menu items Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, applicants must have: A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field (Certificate IV, Diploma, or equivalent) Minimum one year of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong organisational and time management abilities What We Offer Competitive salary package of $77,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation Stable full-time employment Supportive and professional work environment Opportunity to contribute to menu development and business growth Career progression opportunities within a growing hospitality business How to Apply Interested applicants should submit here their resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications and relevant experience.
