The business is led by its Director, Steven Howes, a fully qualified Motor Mechanic with over 24 years of industry experience, supported by an experienced team including a Senior and Head Motor Mechanic. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to: Carry out major and minor vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer logbook requirements Replace fluids including brake fluid, coolant, automatic transmission fluid, transfer case fluid, and differential oils Perform brake and rotor machining as required Replace and repair engine components such as rocker cover gaskets, alternators, and starter motors Inspect and repair suspension systems including shocks, control arms, link pins, and related components Conduct tyre replacements and basic wheel-related services Perform detailed vehicle inspections to identify faults and ensure roadworthiness Maintain accurate records of services and repairs completed Follow all workshop safety procedures and ensure compliance with workplace standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop, including service bays and tools Candidate Requirements To be considered for this role, applicants must have: A Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) A Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis / Advanced Diagnostic Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) At least 2 – 3 years of relevant hands-on experience as a Motor Mechanic Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair processes Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship A proactive approach to safety, cleanliness, and workshop standards A proactive approach to safety, cleanliness, and workshop standards Apply Today This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Motor Mechanic to join a reputable and growing automotive workshop and further develop their skills within a supportive environment.
