What this Role Offers Mentorship from a large, multidisciplinary engineering team Role rotations to gain well-rounded mining engineer exposure Practical experience to obtain UG Shift Supervisors Certificate of Competency About the Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for an Underground Graduate Mining Engineer to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Senior Mine Production Engineer and work on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be transforming your knowledge gained at university into real-world mining applications, ensuring asset reliability, safety, and alignment with business goals. This is a 24-month contract position with the potential to become a permanent role Your primary responsibilities will include: First 12-months will be underground on rotating crews, including trucking, service crew, charge-up, production drilling, nippering and jumbos. Second 12-months will be rotating around the site and office, working with and learning from experienced tech services, production, ventilation, planning, backfill and geotechs. About You Our ideal candidate will have a passion to apply their learned engineering knowledge at university and apply that to an active underground mine operation. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: Tertiary Mining Engineering degree. Strong commitment to health, safety and environment standards (HSEC). Well-developed strategic thinking, analytical and planning skills as well as proven problem-solving skills. Sound and practicable time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to forward plan and prioritise multiple tasks. Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Current C-class manual driver’s licence.
