About the job ð Sunshine Coast | Paediatric OT | Complex Disability Focus ð Values-led practice | Own your caseload | Work that actually means something ð 0.8–1.0 FTE | Flexible by design | Run by an OT, for OTs Are you a skilled paediatric OT who's good at what you do — but somewhere that doesn't reflect why you got into this work? Are you ready to go deeper into complex disability, with a caseload you have genuine input into and a team that measures success by client outcomes, not session numbers? Do you want to work somewhere small enough to know everyone, with a director who is still a clinician and actually understands what good practice costs? $89,000 – $100,000 FTE (inclusive of super) | commensurate with experience Why Choose Kids Co.Lab? Many of us chose careers in the disability sector to make a genuine difference in someone's life. We're privileged to say we get to do that every day — and we've built a practice around protecting that privilege. Career Development We stay in our lane. Kids Co.Lab specialises in paediatric occupational therapy — with a strong focus on family-centred practice across a range of needs, including complex disability, physical disability and medical complexity. We work with children and young people, and we do it well. You'll have genuine input into the clients accepted onto your caseload, and oversight of the waitlist. You set the pace of your own development, supported by a team that shares knowledge freely. We believe in creating ripples in the industry — through student placements, supervision of other clinicians, and unpaid sabbatical leave for those wanting to contribute to research or further their own learning. Professional development is valued and budgeted for — both formal workshops and the informal learning that happens when you're surrounded by people who love what they do. Support Culture Our team shares the Kids Co.Lab values. We care about our community — especially each other — and we show up for the hard days as well as the good ones. You'll have access to regular support through fortnightly team meetings, and a continuous feedback cycle with your manager that goes both ways. You're encouraged to raise ideas, concerns and improvements at any time — not just at a scheduled review. We want you focused on doing your role as well as you can. Our systems and processes are continuously improving to reduce your admin load, with semi-automated client onboarding and invoicing already in place. We offer genuine, personalised flexibility — in when, where and how you work. With a predominantly paediatric caseload, we understand that school holidays and family life are real, and we work around them. And we celebrate together. The small wins get shared regularly, and we mark the bigger ones with an annual birthday and Christmas party. Our KPIs reflect our values — not a billable hours target. We measure how well you're doing your job, not how much of it you're doing. Community We live our values beyond the clinic room. Eight hours of paid community service leave per year means our team gets to show up for the community we serve — past events have included Disability Surfing and the Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. Kids Community exists to enhance inclusion in extracurricular activities for children with disabilities. You can find out more at www.kidsandcolab.com.au/kids-community About the Role We are offering a 0.8–1.0 FTE hybrid role based on the Sunshine Coast. Our team works from a communal office at the Director's family home in Wurtulla — this is where our fortnightly team meetings and 1:1s are held, and there's a hot desk available if you want to work alongside Kate. Client clinics are in Sippy Downs and Brightwater, and a majority of client visits are community based — in homes, schools, daycares and community locations from Beerwah to Noosa. Telehealth is also a regular part of how we deliver care. A home office setup for teletherapy and non-clinical tasks is ideal.
