This role is primarily based in the Emergency Department, working in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment managing a wide range of emergency and outpatient presentations. Occasional support to inpatient wards may be required. The position offers flexible hours on a rotating roster, including early, late and night shifts, weekends and public holidays. Standard shift length is 7.5 hours. This is a hands-on clinical nursing role, with position criteria focused on acute assessment, patient care, clinical decision-making, and teamwork, rather than an emphasis on standalone risk management, OHS, or infection control responsibilities. The Position Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and Care Paths. Demonstrates knowledge of/and functions in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability/responsibility for own actions. Ensures Infection Management policies and procedures are available to all staff and adhered to and implemented Assist in completion of incidents / hazards / injuries reports. Participate in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose a OHS risk Communicate effectively with all customers and patients using the appropriate channels, utilising appropriate formal and informal channels of communication. You will have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and have recent clinical experience within an emergency care. To succeed you will highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, ability to identify and solve problems, with a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction. The Benefits: Salary: $81,995 to $103,482 per annum(pro rata for part time), plus 12% superannuation Permanent part-time role offering up to 30 hours per fortnight.
