Business Development Manager | High-Growth APAC Portfolio We’re partnering with a rapidly scaling B2B events business to hire a full-cycle Business Development Manager focused on net-new revenue across an expanding APAC portfolio. This is not a relationship-management role disguised as sales. It’s a high-performance BDM position where outbound activity, commercial acumen, and closing ability directly drive your earnings. The Opportunity This business is experiencing significant growth across the region, running multiple high-level events and executive roundtables each week. You’ll be selling into global technology organisations, engaging senior stakeholders and delivering high-value sponsorship and partnership solutions. You’ll own your patch end-to-end – from prospecting through to negotiation and close – with full accountability for your number and the autonomy to run your territory like a business. What You’ll Be Doing Drive net-new business acquisition across a portfolio of B2B events and bespoke partnerships Own the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, discovery, pitching, negotiation, and close Consistently deliver $1M in annual revenue, with clear expectations and targets Sell a mix of structured sponsorship packages and tailored partnership solutions Build relationships with C-suite, VPs, and senior commercial leaders across APAC Manage a high-volume pipeline (40 opportunities) with strong forecasting discipline Navigate procurement, pricing pressure, and commercial negotiations while protecting margin What’s In It For You $90K Base Super uncapped, market-leading commission Realistic OTE $170K–$200K in year one, building YoY to $300K by year 3 High-autonomy role with full ownership of your territory and revenue number Established brand with strong market credibility and consistent demand Fast-growth environment with clear progression and earning potential What You’ll Bring Proven track record in new business B2B sales, closing deals in the $25K–$150K range History of hitting or exceeding $1M annual targets Strong outbound discipline and a genuine hunter mentality Commercially sharp – confident navigating procurement, deal structuring, and pricing Highly organised, able to manage multiple deals at pace Competitive, self-driven, and motivated by high earnings and clear targets Reach out to pbarratt@sharpandcarter.com.au to hear more or to apply direct!
