Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital The redevelopment of St John of God Subiaco Hospital is an exciting chance to be part of a major project that will strengthen a 128-year tradition of exceptional patient centred care. As the Procurement Lead for FF&E, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of a modern and world class hospital by working closely with the project team, caregivers, consultants and contractors. In this full-time fixed term position, you will oversee all aspects of procurement, supply planning and supplier engagement for Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) throughout construction, operational readiness and transition. You may come from a CAPEX, construction or health care procurement background with experience in working with specialist stakeholders to determine technical requirements, execute competitive sourcing process, facilitate evaluations and prepare recommendations for approval. The Position Engage with end-users to develop Group 1, 2 and 3 FF&E requirements for the project. Review SJGHC capital planning artefacts and registers to support strategic capital procurement plans. Manage and perform the end-to-end capital sourcing process from an administrative perspective including task brief, options / hypothesis development and testing, and procurement strategy development. Prepare procurement documentation, such as proposals, various request forms (RFQ/RFI/RFP) and recommend negotiation strategies in order to drive project efficiencies and improvements. Assist the project with market engagement, evaluation, and negotiation of commercial and contractual terms, contract formulation and award. Provide guidance and instruction to end-users on procurement, sourcing, and contract management processes, systems, procedures and templates. Demonstrate value for money from a whole of life cycle perspective and compliant process outcomes from capital sourcing events. Deliver to and report on capital savings targets. Own and maintain a redevelopment and FF&E procurement pipeline for reference, compliance and savings targets/realisation. Monitor capital process approvals, engage with finance in regards to business cases and budgets for items going through a capital procurement process. This will include the evaluation of different financial models i.e. lease, buy or placement agreements using a total cost of ownership approach to analysis. Develop the FF&E procurement programme and work with other project managers to identify dependencies, time critical activities and overall programme integration. Manage the legacy equipment program by working with users and project managers to identify existing equipment that can be transferred to new functional areas. We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional with tertiary studies in procurement, contract management, business, health or a related discipline. Ideally, you will have hands-on experience procuring FF&E for major health capital programs, including the use of bespoke FF&E databases. A solid understanding of contracting methodologies, contract management and the ability to apply logical thinking, sound commercial judgement and strong analytical skills will be essential to succeed in this role. Your high-level communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to influence, negotiate and work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including clinical staff. You will be confident in building strong relationships at all levels of the organisation and managing competing priorities while meeting operational targets. Strong organisational skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to provide clear, informed advice will support the successful delivery of all procurement and contract activities.
