The position As a Case Manager in our Special Works – Street to Home program, you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness and complex disadvantage. Through assertive outreach and holistic case management, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centred support that empowers clients to overcome barriers and build greater independence. In this rewarding role, you’ll support clients to access housing, health services, legal assistance, and meaningful community connections. You’ll also help deliver our six-unit supported transitional accommodation program, creating a safe and supportive environment for clients rebuilding their lives. This is a fixed-term full-time position for 12 months, working Monday to Friday and based in Yarralumla, ACT. In this role, you will manage a diverse and complex caseload across both field and site-based settings, demonstrating initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. To succeed in this position, you will hold qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field, with experience in case management, ideally within homelessness services or a similar sector. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build positive relationships are essential. The successful applicant must hold a current driver’s licence and will be required to complete a National Police Check and hold, or obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People Card (WWVP). A First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within three months is required.
