JOB DETAILS WORK TYPE: Permanent WORK PATTERN: Full Time LOCATION: Brisbane JOB DESCRIPTION The duties and responsibilities of the role will include: Giving legal and risk management advice on topics pertaining to technology, including defamation, regulations, litigation, and pre-litigation difficulties. Addressing intellectual property problems and litigation, especially those pertaining to copyright, designs, patent enforcement, trademarks, passing off, misleading or deceptive behavior, and confidential information. Offering guidance on a variety of intellectual property issues, such as copyright, brand protection, IP commercialization, and trademark and design prosecution. Administering and giving advice on international IP portfolios, including direct communication with overseas agents and IP offices. Creating and submitting applications for designs and trademarks. Giving clients legal advice on a range of IT-related issues, including privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies: You will have at least three to five years of expertise in technology and intellectual property, with a solid foundation in advisory work, IP litigation, and commercial pre-litigation guidance. Experience in consumer law will also be given preference. A self-starter with excellent technical abilities who is dedicated to providing clients with high-quality, business-savvy service. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are crucial, as is the capacity to perform well in a welcoming team atmosphere.
