The Role The Head of Compliance leads the second-line Compliance function, playing a critical leadership role in driving the effective management, maturity, and embedment of Crown Melbourne’s Compliance Framework. Reporting to the General Manager – Compliance & Regulatory Affairs , you will lead compliance strategy and execution across Crown Melbourne. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring robust regulatory adherence, driving a strong compliance culture, and acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders. You will oversee key compliance frameworks, lead assurance activities, manage regulatory relationships, and leverage data and insights to continuously enhance compliance performance. Key Responsibilities include Drive the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Oversee regulatory obligations, including gaming licence requirements, and manage regulatory change across the business. Lead second-line compliance review and assurance activities, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and mitigated. Act as the lead for Crown Melbourne’s GRC platform (Archer), ensuring effective use and integration. Partner with senior leaders and operational teams as a trusted compliance advisor, building strong and collaborative relationships. Deliver high-quality reporting to Executive and Board-level stakeholders, using data analytics to inform decision-making. Lead, coach, and develop a small team, fostering high performance and alignment with Crown values. Engage with regulators (including VGCCC) as required, ensuring transparent and professionalism About You You are an experienced compliance leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments and can influence at senior levels. Demonstrated experience in a senior compliance role ideally within a large scale or a highly regulated environment Proven experience advising executives and presenting to Board or committees Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and regulatory obligations Experience with GRC tools (Archer or similar) Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop others Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Compliance, or related discipline Ability to obtain and maintain a VIC Casino Special Employee Licence Applications Close - 30th May On top of exciting career possibilities, we offer better exposure to experiences and learning.
