Role Overview As a WHS Officer, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the WHS function, playing a central role in implementing and continuously improving the WHS Management System across operational sites. You'll work closely with employees, contractors, and key stakeholders to promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards. This is a role where no two days look the same. From coordinating training and inductions to participating in toolbox talks, supporting audits, and assisting with return-to-work processes, you'll gain broad exposure across the full WHS function. Your attention to detail, positive attitude, and ability to engage people at all levels will be key to your success. Responsibilities Support the implementation, improvement, and maintenance of WHS systems and documentation in line with company standards and regulatory requirements Promote WHS awareness, incident prevention, and safe work practices across operational sites and in the office Administer the digital WHS management system, ensuring records, registers, and documentation are accurate, current, and audit-ready Coordinate WHS training, inductions, high-risk work licence records, competency management, and emergency preparedness activities Assist with incident reporting, corrective action tracking, and workplace inspections and audits Participate in toolbox talks and pre-start meetings Support the development, review, and maintenance of operational WHS documentation and training materials Assist with return-to-work processes and rehabilitation coordination for injured workers Maintain WHS asset registers, including high-risk plant and equipment records Candidate Profile You are an early-career WHS professional holding a relevant qualification, or currently working towards one. You bring strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication. You're confident engaging with people across all levels of a business and comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. A positive attitude, solid work ethic, and genuine passion for safety culture will set you apart in this role.
