We are currently seeking a Mine Production Engineer to consistently provide reliable, accurate and sustainable mine planning services and support in order to position Mining and Plant operations for optimal performance. The principal role accountability is to produce the Weekly Plan with the aim of maintaining planned grades and production tonnes. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer , the main components of achieving the minimum required standard include: Producing accurate mine scheduling information for integrated operations. Completing production area maps for grade control. Communicating planning material to Mine Planning, Mine and Plant Operations and Field Maintenance personnel Providing relevant maps (dump floor, dumps, parent shapes, clearing, accesses, development, ancillary tasks) and machine guidance files as required to implement dig and dump plans. Completing and communicating weekly plan reconciliation. Liaising with Supervisors and Superintendents to ensure plan implementation. Managing plan deviations to maintain grades and tonnes. Ensure such changes are properly communicated to peers and direct report. Maintaining effective communication between site and peers. What you’ll bring Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline 2 years’ experience as a short term mine planning engineer Experience in planning for bauxite operations would be highly regarded Detailed understanding of Truck / Loader scheduling and operation Practical understanding of all other mining design, scheduling, and operation Basic understanding of supply chain management.
