Administrative Officer 7 - Remuneration Package Range $138,289 - $148,633 Rum Jungle Project Batchelor One full time vacancy fixed to 31/12/2029 is available This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering meaningful training and workforce development outcomes as part of the rehabilitation of the former Rum Jungle Mine Site in the Northern Territory. Set alongside the stunning landscapes bordering Litchfield National Park, the Rum Jungle Rehabilitation Project is a nationally significant initiative showcasing leading practice environmental rehabilitation and long-term community partnerships. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing the Rum Jungle Project Ready Training Program (PRTP) and the Professional Skills Development Program (PSDP), supporting Aboriginal Traditional Owners and other local Aboriginal people to gain the skills, confidence and qualifications required for employment opportunities on the Rum Jungle Rehabilitation Project and similar projects across the region. Reporting within the Rum Jungle Project team, this role is responsible for providing quality advice, operational leadership and culturally appropriate support across all aspects of the training programs. The position works closely with Traditional Owners, trainees, training providers, contractors and project stakeholders to maximise participation, engagement and successful training outcomes. Key responsibilities include coordinating the delivery of vocational education and traineeship programs, mentoring and supporting trainees throughout their learning journey, identifying barriers to participation and developing practical, culturally responsive solutions. The role also involves building strong partnerships with Aboriginal organisations, industry and training providers to create long-term employment and workforce development opportunities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and program management skills, with proven experience delivering training or workforce initiatives within Aboriginal communities. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, sound judgement, cultural awareness and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and evolving project environment.
