Position: APS4 Academic Director Coordinator Location: Canberra Start date: ASAP Duration: Approx 12 months with potential to extend Pay rate: Range between $51.52/hr to $55.29/hr plus super Security requirements: Baseline clearance preferred or ability to obtain Overview: An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and highly organised professional to provide executive and administrative support within a fast-paced government environment. This role will support a senior leadership team and contribute to the delivery of strategic research, policy and program priorities. The successful candidate will play a key coordination role, maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring the smooth management of executive functions, communications and administrative processes. Responsibilities: • Provide executive support including diary and inbox management for senior executives. • Act as a key liaison point between executives, internal staff and external stakeholders. • Manage correspondence, enquiries and follow up actions to support timely delivery of priorities and deadlines. • Prepare and quality assure a range of written materials including agendas, minutes, emails, meeting briefs, letters and presentations. • Provide secretariat and administrative support for meetings, committees and workshops. • Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries and expense acquittals. • Contribute to a collaborative executive support team environment. Experience/requirements: • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously under pressure. • Strong administration skills with a high level of attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build productive working relationships. • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to research, analyse, plan and review tasks effectively. • Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain discretion and handle confidential information appropriately. • Proven time management skills with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes. • Previous executive assistant, coordination or administrative support experience within a government or corporate environment will be highly regarded.
