About the Role The Project Construction Coordinator is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of on-site construction activities across shutdowns, turnarounds, outages, and brownfield projects in the Cooper Basin. Reporting to the Execution Team Leader or Project Manager, you will coordinate and supervise works to meet schedule, cost, quality, and HSE requirements. This is a 2/2 FIFO, field-based role, working closely with engineers, planners, contractors, and operations teams to deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal production disruption. Key Accountabilities: Coordinate and supervise day-to-day construction activities for Shutdowns, TPOs, and capital/maintenance projects, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality. Act as the primary point of contact for construction contractors and service providers on site, monitoring performance against scope, schedule, and contract requirements. Review and approve construction work packs, method statements, risk assessments, and permits to work, ensuring compliance within standards and procedures. Monitor progress against project baselines, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to recover schedule or mitigate risks. Coordinate interfaces between construction, operations, maintenance, engineering, and other execution disciplines to ensure seamless integration of work scopes. Oversee the mobilisation, allocation, and demobilisation of construction resources, equipment, and labour in a remote operating environment. Ensure accurate tracking of costs, variations, and progress reporting, providing timely updates to the project team and stakeholders. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to maintain the highest standards of HSE performance and quality control. Manage the handover of completed construction scopes, including punch list resolution, as-built documentation, and support to commissioning and startup activities. Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and identifying opportunities to optimise construction execution processes. About You To thrive in this role, you will bring solid, practical experience in construction coordination or supervision within the oil and gas industry, with a strong focus on brownfield execution, shutdowns, and turnarounds in remote onshore environments. Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a Construction Coordinator, Construction Supervisor, or similar role in oil & gas upstream or brownfield projects. Demonstrated track record coordinating construction activities during Shutdowns, Turnarounds (TAR/TPOs), or facility upgrade projects. Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety management, quality assurance, and permit to-work systems in the oil and gas sector. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, time-critical environment. Solid understanding of project controls (schedule, cost, risk) and experience working with contractors in a FIFO/remote setting. Commitment to safety leadership and a proactive approach to HSE performance and risk management. Ability and willingness to work a 2/2 FIFO roster in the Cooper Basin. Desirable: Trade qualifications (e.g., mechanical, civil, or structural) combined with formal training in construction management or project coordination. Previous experience working in the Cooper Basin or similar Australian onshore oil and gas assets. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project) and Microsoft Office suite.
