We are a small hydraulic and pneumatic business based in Townsville , seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Administration Assistant to join our friendly, close-knit team . Our busy workshop and office environment will keep you on your toes and offer plenty of variety. About the Role Key Responsibilities Daily data entry , including purchase orders, bills, timesheets and invoicing Proficient typing using Microsoft Office and accounting software (we use Reckon Hosted ) Sourcing, ordering and pricing parts to prepare quotes and customer jobs, maintaining accurate records Freight management : checking incoming deliveries, identifying discrepancies, following up with suppliers, labelling parts, and dispatching orders promptly Reception duties , including greeting customers, answering phones and assisting with enquiries Inventory management , including: Monitoring stock levels Monthly stock ordering Receiving and restocking parts (store and trailer) Conducting stock takes Picking parts and preparing invoices Ability to identify metric and imperial components (highly regarded) About You Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills Strong attention to detail Able to stay focused and productive despite frequent interruptions Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment Willing to roll up your sleeves and be part of a practical, hands-on business What We Offer A supportive, friendly team environment A varied role with ongoing challenges Wage rate based on skills and experience If you’re a motivated, multi-talented individual who enjoys responsibility and variety, we’d love to hear from you.
