Foreperson – Jason Warren Racing (Mornington) Jason Warren Racing is looking for an experienced, motivated Foreperson to join our team at Mornington in a key hands-on leadership role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves horses, thrives in a fast-paced stable environment, and wants to be part of a team focused on doing things properly and chasing winners. Position Details Location: Mornington stables Hours: 5:00am–10:00am, 6 days per week Plus 2 afternoons per week Horses in work: Currently 16 , increasing to 21 About the Role This is a genuine working foreperson role — you will lead from the front and work closely with your team every day. Key responsibilities include: Day-to-day management of the stable and staff Medications and treatments (including IV injections where experienced/qualified) Ensuring all horse work is completed correctly and on time Monitoring horse health and reporting any concerns promptly Overseeing trackwork to ensure mornings run smoothly and efficiently Creating and maintaining a strong team culture where everyone works together Managing Wednesday jumpouts at Mornington Preparing horses for off-site jumpouts Liaising with the office on race day planning: correct gear and strappers organised floats and cars prepared and ready Race day duties available if desired What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Previous foreperson/stable leadership experience A current driver’s licence Experience towing floats Experience with treadmill and swimming programs Experience with horse treatments/medications (including IVs, where appropriate) Strong attention to detail Excellent punctuality and reliability Pride in horse presentation, staff standards, stable cleanliness and equipment care A genuine passion for racing — and a hunger to get winners Why Join Jason Warren Racing At JWR, you’ll join a committed, hard-working team that values professionalism, horse welfare, and results.
