Business Development Manager – Construction Industry We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our construction business on a full-time basis for an initial 6-month trial period , with the opportunity for the position to be extended if successful. Our business carries out all aspects of construction work, and this role will focus on developing new business opportunities, generating leads, securing quoting opportunities, and building long-term relationships that create ongoing and repeat business. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing new relationships and partnerships across key target markets including insurers, body corporate clients, government departments, commercial clients, local businesses, and referral partners . Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities within the construction industry Generate new leads and quoting opportunities Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and referral sources Develop ongoing and repeat business opportunities Target insurers, body corporates, government departments, commercial clients, and local clients Represent the business professionally in meetings, networking, and client communications Work closely with the internal team to ensure opportunities are priced, followed up, and converted Track leads, opportunities, quotes, partnerships, and outcomes About You To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience in business development, sales, account management, or client relationship management. You must be confident approaching potential clients, developing new relationships, following up opportunities, and helping convert leads into ongoing business. Experience within construction, insurance repairs, property, facilities management, government contracts, body corporate work, or trade-related industries would be highly regarded.
