About US PTM Pilbara Traffic Management has been delivering critical traffic management and rail safeworking services across the Pilbara for over a decade. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Scheduler to join our Karratha-based operations team in a FIFO basis from Perth. This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating our workforce across multiple sites and ensuring seamless delivery of services to our clients. About the ROLE In this fast-paced, operationally critical position no two days are the same. Working as part of a small, high-performing team you will play a central role in workforce coordination, mobilisation and resource planning across multiple projects. This will be a FIFO role from Perth on an 8/6 roster and your key responsibilities will include: Workforce Scheduling & Mobilisation Prepare and manage rosters ensuring accurate allocation of personnel across projects Logistics & Travel Coordination Coordinate flights, accommodation and site access to support efficient and cost-effective mobilisations Stakeholder & Client Communication Liaise with internal teams, clients and field staff to confirm requirements, provide updates and resolve scheduling challenges Planning, Forecasting & Resource Management Maintain workforce plans, anticipate future resourcing needs and proactively manage potential gaps or conflicts Project Coordination Ensure personnel are equipped with the correct job information, documentation and instructions to perform their roles safely and effectively Systems, Compliance & Reporting Maintain accurate scheduling data in systems such as Assignar, ensuring all personnel meet site compliance requirements (tickets, inductions and medicals), and generate reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement Real-Time Problem Solving Respond to last-minute changes and operational challenges, making informed decisions to maintain service delivery. Success in this role means delivering accurate, on-time schedules, maintaining full workforce coverage and proactively resolving resourcing challenges before they impact operations. About YOU You are a highly organised and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy problem solving, working with people and finding smarter ways to improve processes. You will bring: proven experience in scheduling, rostering or mobilisations, ideally within mining, construction, traffic management or a similar industry; experience coordinating FIFO or remote workforce logistics; strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure; excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels; a high level of attention to detail and a process-driven approach; the ability to make informed decisions and escalate where required; a collaborative, team-focused mindset; experience with systems such as Assignar would be highly regarded; and previous exposure to traffic management (advantageous but not essential). You are practical, solutions-focused and bring a “can-do” attitude, with a willingness to step in and support the team wherever needed.
