About the Opportunity William Clarke College is seeking suitably qualified Teacher Librarians for two newly created library leadership positions. The roles are for a Primary and a Secondary Library Co-ordinator, in readiness to move in to our bespoke Library facilities in our brand new Bryson Centre. You will be responsible for supporting teaching and learning and leading the operations, resources and programs of a sub-school Library (Primary, or Secondary). These leaders will be key to ensuring the effective delivery of information services and promoting literature appreciation, inquiry and research skills. The roles have been created to place decision making close to students and teaching teams within the sub-school and will work in close collaboration with each other to ensure aligned processes, consistent service standards and shared improvement priorities across both libraries. The Co-ordinators will lead and support Teacher Librarian(s) and Library Assistant(s) within the sub school library. Two full-time permanent positions are available, one in each of the Primary and Secondary Libraries. About You Demonstrated success leading library services and teams in a school or similar environment. Tertiary qualifications as a Teacher Librarian, including postgraduate qualification in teacher librarianship or equivalent. NESA Teacher accreditation Demonstrated understanding of how school libraries strengthen teaching and learning and support curriculum delivery Demonstrated experience designing and delivering library based learning experiences consistent with NSW curricula (Primary or Secondary) Ability to collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver learning that builds inquiry, information literacy, and research skills Demonstrated experience developing and managing library collections and resourcing aligned to curriculum and student needs. Demonstrated experience using a library management system and managing access to digital resources Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of academic honesty and copyright obligations in schools, including supporting staff and students with compliant practice. Clear written and verbal communication with a professional and empathetic style. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines. Excellent people management abilities with capacity to build collaboration, give and receive feedback, and address difficult conversations constructively.
