About the Position Are you passionate about sustainability and creating a circular economy? This exciting role supports the delivery of waste education, recycling and resource recovery initiatives that encourage more sustainable behaviours across the community. In this role, you will: Deliver waste education, FOGO and resource recovery programs Coordinate workshops, campaigns and community engagement activities Support waste diversion and circular economy initiatives Undertake contamination audits, data reporting and project coordination Assist with the promotion of innovative sustainability initiatives across the City This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, delivering community-focused programs and contributing to meaningful environmental outcomes. About You We are looking for a proactive and community-minded professional with experience in waste education, sustainability, resource recovery or community engagement. You will have strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and promote positive behaviour change. You are highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively while also using initiative to deliver outcomes. A sound understanding of waste, recycling and circular economy principles, along with a commitment to inclusive and respectful community engagement, will see you succeed in this role. Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Education or a related field, a current Driver’s Licence and the ability to obtain a Working With Children Check are essential.
