We are looking for a qualified Chef who has a genuine passion for good food and looking for a full time secure role within a great southern Gold Coast community club. Salary range $76,515 - $80,000. You must be able to multi-task and be extremely level-headed under pressure, during our peak, high-volume service periods. The successful applicant will help maintain high standards and ensure the smooth kitchen operation within the team. • Two year's proven record in a similar role • Good bistro style food service experience • Stock control and ordering experience • Good sound knowledge and experience of casual club style dining • Attention to detail and consistent food delivery • Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure • Planning menus, estimating food & labour costs, ordering food supplies • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of prep & presentation • discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff • demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures • preparing and cooking food • explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations • may select and train staff • may freeze and preserve foods Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a stable work history and references.
