Role Purpose The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, monitoring and supporting the organisation’s IT systems, networks, servers, applications and user environments. The role ensures that technology infrastructure operates securely, efficiently and in line with business requirements. This full-time, permanent position supports day-to-day operations, system availability, data security, user support and continuous improvement of technology processes across MANTILAM. Key Responsibilities Administer, monitor and maintain servers, networks, operating systems, cloud platforms and business applications. Install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware, software, systems and related infrastructure. Provide timely technical support to users, resolving incidents and service requests in line with business priorities. Manage user accounts, access permissions, system security controls and authentication processes. Perform regular system backups, recovery testing and data protection activities. Monitor system performance, availability and security, escalating risks or outages as required. Maintain IT documentation, asset records, configuration details and support procedures. Implement software updates, patches and security improvements to reduce operational risk. Support cybersecurity practices, including antivirus management, access control and incident response. Assist with IT procurement, vendor coordination and evaluation of technology solutions. Prepare basic reports on system performance, incidents, maintenance activities and improvement actions. Support compliance with internal policies, privacy obligations and Australian workplace requirements. Contribute to process improvements that enhance system reliability, efficiency and user experience. What We Are Looking For Minimum one (1) year of relevant work experience in systems administration, IT support or a related technical role. Relevant qualification such as a Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Systems Administration or a related field. Strong working knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, networking, cloud services, backups and system security. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner. Strong communication skills with the ability to support technical and non-technical users. Good understanding of data protection, cybersecurity practices and workplace compliance expectations.
